LIBRARY RULES

 





To ensure smooth functioning of the library and proper use of resources, the following rules are to be observed:

  • Library Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
  • All library users must maintain silence inside the library premises.
  • Visitors must enter their names and sign in the Gate Register placed at the entrance of the library.
  • Bags and personal belongings must be kept at the designated area before entering the library.
  • Mobile phones should be kept on silent mode to avoid disturbance.
  • A maximum of 2 books can be borrowed by a student at a time for 14 days and a maximum of 4 (four) books can be borrowed by a teaching staff at a time for 1 month.
  • A fine of Rs. 2 per day for students and Rs. 5 for staffs will be charged for each overdue book after the due date.
  • Books must be handled carefully. In case of loss or damage, the borrower must either replace the book with a new copy or pay the cost of the book.
  • Reference books, rare collections, and periodicals are not issued for home lending.
  • Question Papers are not allowed for borrowing. They can be  xeroxed if required.
  • Library cards are non-transferable and must be presented during borrowing.
  • After End Semester exams, Library cards are to be returned to the library availing a "Clearance Certificate."
  • Eating or drinking inside the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Any misconduct or violation of rules will lead to suspension of library privileges.
