📚About the Library

The Kamrup Polytechnic Library was established in 2017 along with the institute, initially functioning in a modest space with a limited collection. At present, the library houses around 4,000 volumes of books on various engineering and allied subjects, including textbooks, reference books, handbooks, and guidebooks. The collection covers core subjects of the diploma programmes as well as general reading materials. While the library is yet to have a digital collection and computer-based facilities, efforts are underway to modernize its services and infrastructure. The Government of Assam provides book grants from time to time, and the institute also procures books from the students’ fund. In future, the library aims to expand its resources, introduce e-resources, and offer a more comprehensive range of services to meet the academic needs of students and faculty.

All students, faculty, and staff of Kamrup Polytechnic are warmly welcomed to the library. The Librarian and library staff are dedicated to providing the best possible service by making available the reading materials housed in the library. Reference services will also be offered shortly, supported by available Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.
